I am a dedicated researcher with a strong background in plant and human genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, and bioinformatics. My current work has focused on mental and physical health, Specially cardiovascular risk assesments using statistical model as well as related marker prediction, microRNA expression profiling associated with Post traumatic stress disorder. Previously I have done working on unlocking the genetic secrets behind heat tolerance in weedy rice during my tenure as a Graduate Researcher at Monash University. I have received a Graduate Research Merit Scholarship in recognition of my contributions to the field.

Key Research Highlights:

  • Design prediction model using R and python
  • Machine learning model development using python
  • Mediation analysis
  • Statistical analysis using Python, SPSS, and R
  • Phylogenetic and synteny analysis
  • NGS pipeline development and implementation
  • Whole-genome sequencing (WGS) analysis
  • RNA-seq and differential gene expression analysis
  • Plant tissue culture and field seed germination expertise
  • Bacterial tissue culture and genomics
  • Research protocol design and development
  • RT-qPCR for candidate gene validation

Authors: MH Sarker, MH Hussain, TX Neik, MZ Hasan, WY Wee, et al.

Euphytica, 2025

This research focused on genetic factors associated with heat tolerance and their impact on heat stress response in Malaysian weedy rice. Using RNA sequencing (RNA-Seq) technology, we examined gene expression pattern of weedy rice under high temperature stress. Specific genes related to heat tolerance in weedy rice were identified. .
